Problem during build IA Project through InstallAnywhereAntTask

HI Guys,

I have added new VM to bundled with my installer in InstallAnywhere_2011_Enterprise_SP4/resource/installer_vms/SunJRE170Win64.vm

and during build the project through I am getting below error.

Adding other errors: Error finding Win32 VM pack. "SunJRE170Win64.vm" Build using SunJRE160_01iWin32.vm (Sun JRE 1.6.0_01 i18n Win32).
Adding other errors: Error finding Linux VM pack. "SunJRE170_Linux64.vm" Build using SUN_160_B23_LINUX_64Bit.vm (Sun_JRE_160_B23_Linux64Bit).

And strange thing is that if we build using IA Project from UI its works perfectlly and i got bundled jre of 1.7 under Program Files\
but when we build using ant classname="com.zerog.ia.integration.ant.InstallAnywhereAntTask" it gives me 1.6 as a bundled and its goes to Program Fiels(x86)\


Any thoughts as want to bundled jre of SunJRE170Win64.vm?

Advanced UI/Suite Installation Bug

Hello,
I have a very simple Advanced UI/Suite project - no changes, only added msi product.
I choose custom installation. On the selection feature page I use TAB to navigate the Install button and press enter. The progress page is not shown and the last page looks like the progress page.

Is there any way to repair this behaviour?

Major upgrade not working

Hi All,

I created an upgrade setup where i changed package code, product code and product version also i added upgrade support from any earlier version and set the option as uninstall the previous version before installation.

Anybody please suggest if i missed some configuration for which the setup unable to do the upgrade.

Dialogs with PNG image, < Win8

I have InstallShield 2013 Limited Edition.

When I use PNG images in Dialogs (banner and image), Images will only work in Windows 8 and forward. (so they will not appear on Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7)

Hey All,
I am trying to make an installer of .air file using Basic MSI and I written a install script for that but it's not working it's giving me error. I am posting the code here which I am using. Please help me on this and tell me exact syntax if I am wrong, Thanks in advance.

Modifying package snapshot

I am new to Admin Sudio and trying to understand how to use the product.

I took a snapshot of a pacakage install using standalone repackager and built a package which created the msi file along with the source files and inc & irp file.
I would like to edit this package to add additional additional features to add additional shortcuts.
When I open the irp or inc file it opens in repackager and I cannot see or modify any features.

My question is this, how can I open this file within Admin Studio to get the installation designer view so I can modify and add features from within it?
I believe that I need to do this within a project file, but am not sure how to convert this or open this as a project. I have been unable to successfully do this.

Facing Problem in making setup of .air using airappinstaller.exe

Hey All,
I am making setup of .air file using airappinstaller.exe. but I have one problem that when I put both *.air file and airappinstaller.exe in WINDIR (C:\Windows) then it's working fine.but when I am puting these two file in any folder then its not launching my air application.
and one more thing that I need to put these two files in my setup so after setup complete I have to launch airappinstaller.exe then my *.air file. please help me on this. Thanks in advance. I am using given code

Are the redistributables included in the ISM file or does the ISM just have pointers to the location of the downloaded redistributables? I need to move my projects to another machine and want to make sure to include them.

Removing redundant components?

I have a product at version 3 which had a component (FRED) -names have been changed to protect the innocent- FRED contained some data files which were placed in PROGRAM DATA.
At version 4 we have removed FRED and introduced a new component called FREDA with similar content also placed in PROGRAM DATA.

When you install version 4 it upgrades version 3 successfully, but both versions now appear in ControlPanel/ARP and PROGRAM DATA contains both sets of files i.e. a folder called FRED and a folder called FREDA.

How do I ensure that FRED is completely removed when I upgade to version 4?

I can find no way of marking a Component for removal, and I am not sure if the RemoveFiles (Direct editor) will work if Component FRED is no longer in the product.

Any advice gratefully received

Error 404 when trying a New Post

I typed a long description of a problem I had. It was mostly in simple letters but had a bit of punctuation. Including two exclamation marks together at one point. When I pressed the submit button I got Error 404 and the post was not published.
I then tried a simple post Test as title and test as body and that was ok, So I then went back to my original post text and started cutting out odd characters.

Finally after removing the double exclamation it worked.

The same seems also to be true of 2 question marks together. Or two periods (full stop

I am including the standard Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86) in a Suite package.
If I include the PRQ file in a basic MSI package I can successfully install the prerequisite on Windows 7 x86.
If I include the PRQ file in the Suite package the install fails.
The command line looks correct, below is information from the debuglog file.
