I needed to upgrade an old InstallShield Pro 7 project to 2012 Spring. When attempting to rebuild the media, the following error was produced:
ISDEV : error 136: Could not copy file 'C:\Users\fred\AppData\Local\Temp\setup.exe' to 'C:\Develop\isproj\Test Document Viewer\Media\Default\Disk Images\Disk1\setup.exe' "The system cannot find the path specified."
I ensured the Media folder wasn't open in Windows Explorer or that setup.exe wasn't running, but still received the error.
I finally decided to rename the project folder to "TestDocViewer" and the build finally succeeded.
I'm puzzled that this issue occurred in Spring 2012, but not in IS Pro 7? My only guess is that Spring 2012 didn't like the length of the folder path because I have a few other projects with spaces in the folder and they build just fine.
Just wanted to pass along this behavior in case some one else runs into this issue.
