Hello everyone,
I have this doubt about "Companion Files". I have known that if I make FileB as a Companion File of FileA, then the FileB file will be delivered depending on whether the FileA has been delivered (please correct me if i am wrong at any point).
This is the excerpt from IS help:
"If the installer determines that the version of FileA in the package should be installed over an older version of FileA that already exists on the user's computer, it will also install FileB from the package regardless of the version of any installed FileB.
"
Now, instead of making it a companion file, can I not just put both the files in the same Component? So that both the files are either delivered or not delivered during installation. Also, if I set FileB as "Always Overwrite", and keep it in the same Component as that of FileA, then will this not be same as making it a Companion File?
Thanks in advance,
Shodhan
